Yum Yum

Despite doctors orders, I fed Bean his first real food yesterday. The doctor told me to wait until his next appointment on June 13th but in truth I know him far better than she does and he was ready. I researched all my books, to double check my gut feeling, and they all confirmed. He was ready. So, we gave it a shot. He loved it!! I started him off with just 2 tablespoons of rice cereal mixed with breast milk. At first he was hesitant but by the second mouthful he was hooked. He was grabbing the spoon, laughing, and loving it. He got most of it in his mouth and hardly any mess at all. Next on the menu: steak and potatoes.

I SO get that. I follow some of the "rules" but find that we moms know what is truly best. It really is maternal instinct. I gave them food earlier and never followed the roll-out (one food for four days, etc). They had eggs already. I just feel like I know what is best.
By the way, i tried to drop off some clothes on saturday but the store was closed! My mom said she would drop it off on Tuesday.

If you had a girl we would have SO much stuff to pass on! But luckily our girls wear lots of unisex clothes! Full disclosure: Some of it is newly washed and some of it might not be. I figured you would wash everything yourself anyway so i saved the water. Don't worry, nothing is crazy dirty! In fact some of it is brand new! Included are our favorite wide corduroy pants that the girls wore in their first xmas picture. Ahh, the memories.....

Let me know if you don't get it and I will harass my mother.....
